Is it possible to run a program in RM48_USB_STICK without usb connexion?

I developed an evaluation robot controlled by a RM48_USB_STICK.
When the RM48_USB_STICK is connected to a PC, the program is well starting.
If I connect only the USB power to the 5V power supply of the robot mother board the program does not start.
Is it possible to make the robot working in stand alone?

That should work. I just verified that my RM48_USB runs when just connected to power. Is the power LED next to the USB connector lit? Are you supplying the 5V through the USB connector or wired to J15?

Just to add, this stick really isn't designed to operate standalone.
It will work like Bob said but I wouldn't recommend trying to 'add on' other boards to it.
For that you want the launchpad.

While there are some connectors on the USB stick for peripheral IO these are really intended for monitoring/driving
logic levels at low power. It's not a board that is designed to accept something like a 'booster pack'. If you need that type of standalone please use the Launchpad.

Thanks a lot for your help.
I tried to connect the +5V by USB connector not by J15.
Even if I just connect the RM48_USB_STICK with +5V without the mother board, the program does not start.
Is that working with you?
