The TRM for RM57 states that there are 128 message objects but Halcogen shows only 64 Message objects that can be configured.
What do yo mean by 128 message objects?
Hello Akshay,
Please refer to the respective device datasheet for the actual implementation of each peripherals. The RM57 datasheet specifies 64 mailboxes for each DCAN module, not 128. The TRM describes the maximum configuration the DCAN module can theoretically support.
Hi Akshay,
Yes, the TRM tries to specify the superset implementation of the DCAN module. There is a such note at the beginning of the DCAN chapter in the TRM.
NOTE: This chapter describes a superset implementation of the DCAN module. Consult your
device-specific datasheet to identify the applicability of the DMA-related features, the number
of instantiations of the DCAN IP, and the number of mailboxes supported on your specific
device being used.
