CortexR5 FPU test

Hi,

currently a customer is using the CMSIS library to test the FPU in the RM57. Is there an existing pre-canned FPU test for Hercules CortexR5 FPU that could be run, to get pass or fail output?

Hi Gunter,
We don't have such test for FPU. CMSIS seems like a good choice to exercise the FPU. I'm wondering why your customer needs ro run validation for the processor FPU. What is the background of the question?

Hi Gunter,

The FPU is checked with the LBIST, as the LBIST covers the whole ARM Cortex-R5F CPU.
There should be no need to run a separate instruction set test.
However, as Charles asked, what's the background of this question, maybe I missed it.

Hi Gunter,
Please also note that the two Cortex-R5F are running in lockstep and being compared cycle by cycle. If there is a fault in one of the FPUs it will be detected.
