TMS470R1VF336A and TMS470AVF336A programming specifications

Hello,

one my customer is asking if the device TMS470R1VF336A and the TMS470AVF336A have the same programming specifications.

I cannot find information about the TMS470AVF336A.

Can someone explain which are the differences between these two part number?

I already developed the programming algorithm for the TMS470R1VF336A; do I have to develop a specific programming algorithm for the TMS470AVF336A?

I cannot find a datasheet for the "TMS470AVF336A". It may be a custom variant of the TMS470R1VF336A.
Please ask your customer to confirm this.

I have a pdf called spns079j.pdf

In the "Device numbering conventions" chapter (page 20/56), I can find this information: CPU Type: R1, A = Architecture designator

But this is the only thing that I know about the A character in the name.

My customer doesn't know this information and he is asking me to understand this issue.

The programming specification is the same. When we added a "Green" package, the part number became too long for the order entry system so they abbreviated the "R1" in the part number with "A".

Yes thanks I missed this and a colleague pointed it out. The A vs R1 is listed as architecture variant but I have been told this just signifies the change to GREEN package materials. So expect no difference to flash programming.
