Thanks.. For some reason, my entire message didn't post.

The Rom Doc describes booting from several sources: Serial, SPI and USB. It also describes that it is automatically invoked on reset if the first two words of memory are all ones. (Stack pointer and start address). That makes sense. But it doesn't describe how the update method is selected.

It would be great if the TM4C123x just "finds" the USB and selects it... But seems unlikely.
