TMS570LS1224

I just used CCS V5.4.0.00091 with a Spectrum Digital XDS510USB, and I had the option for a TMS570LS1224. However, using the TMS570LS1227 gel file would not prevent you from connecting. Are you connecting to a blank device, or is there an existing program in it. Is the board a known working board (power, oscillator, not stuck in continuous reset)?

Thanks for your reply in such a short notice. Now in CCS6, I am able to find LS1224 microcontroller. With *1224.gel file and the board loaded with working application SW, not in reset , I am getting the same error. 

Kindly help in resolving the issue.

Double click on you .ccxml file, then click the "Test Connection" button shown in the picture below:

I have clicked on Test Connection. Its working fine. But after this step, when I click on Launch configuration, I am getting the error which is given in my Problem description.

In the first post the error was in connecting to the target, now in CCS6 you say the error is in launching the configuration. Can you attach a picture of the error message you are getting from CCS6?
