need help to get SCI2 UART to work

We design a board using RM48L950ZWT processor. I try to follow the tutorial "using sci for UART communication". i just need it can print stuff on serial terminal to PC.

I follow all step from the tutorial for SCI2/LIN. for SCI port, I enable it under PINMUX and it works good. but I can not get SCI2/LIN port to work. there are no output from SCI2TX pin. I try several board, i do not think the wire or welding on PCB is the issue.

can anyone help me to point out what I did wrong or missing?

Are you using HALCoGen? Do you have the example "example_sci_uart_9600.c" working on the LIN/SCI (balls A7 and B7) but now want to use the simple SCI (balls W3 and N2)? Besides setting up the pin mux, make sure you pass the correct base register to the "sciDispalyText" function. You can change:
#define UART scilinREG
to
#define UART sciREG

Yes. I use HALCoGen. I try example_sci_uart_9600.c, but it does not work on LIN/SCI(balls A7 and B7) . But I get the SCI( balls W3 and N2) works. so it is confuse me.

I will generate a project that works for you to test. What speed crystal do you have?

Here is the "example_sci_uart_9600" compiled for an RM48L950 with a 16MHz crystal. (Let me know if you need it for a different crystal speed.) If this does not give you an output on ball B7, then you need to check your hardware.
