My flash image doesn't seem to be persistent

I have a circuit board with a TI TM4C123GH6PM processor. I am using the Keil IDE with a ULINK-2 connected to the jtag pins. If I press Debug -> start debug session, I can see my image being dowloaded. Similarly if I press Flash -> Download , I can see my image being downloaded.

When I power off and power on the board with the TM4C123GH6PM the processor appears to be running an older executable image. Is there something I need to do to make my new image be persistemt across power cycles?

Usually the "Start-Up" file handles this.

You might try one of the many, "known good" vendor supplied program examples - without modification - and see how it behaves.

When you download the code for the first time, what does the CPU registers show that Program Counter as?

After the download using debug -> Start/Stop debug session the PC is:

r15(PC) 0x 00000612

Hello William

That seems correct, the PC is pointing to the Flash. Now dump the image downloaded to the board into a bin file. Power cycle the board, connect the debugger (w/o downloading the code) and dump the flash image.

A comparison would tell us what is the resulting image.

Thanks for your help.
It turns out to be my problem in not properly distinguishing between one executable image and another.
The flash image is persistent.
