TMP570LC4357 revB temperature sensors calibration information errata

Hi,

There is a typo in SPNU563, May 2014 page 341,342 (or it can be a temperature sensor calibration process problem)

I could read the following data from the MCU:

0xf0080310 1866 (midpoint ADC)
0xf0080312 303 (midpoint temperature)
0xf0080314 1369 (lowpoint ADC)
0xf0080316 233 (lowpoint temperature)
0xf0080318 2473 (highpoint ADC)
0xf008031a 398 (highpoint temperature)

Regards, Szilárd

  • Referring to the three temperature points at TEMP1, TEMP2 and TEMP3 was not meant to imply that they are in any particular order. The order you see in the device is the order in which the measurements are currently made. While there are no plans to change that order, or to change the temperatures at which the measurements are taken, neither the order nor the actual temperatures are guaranteed to remain the same. The calibration routine should not depend or a specific order or temperature. Take a look at this application note if you have not already: SPNA216

  • Dear Bob,
I understand clearly, but the ADC values and the temperatures are also in different order.
    Best Regards Szilárd
  • Yes, sorry. You are absolutely correct. We have already made the correction in the document source and hope to release a new version of the TRM in a few months. The application note has the correct order. That order will not change.
