Please find attached Sch for TIVA series controller as per discussion.

We have use the TIVA based Controller : TM4C1290NCPDT for our Calibrators,

For communication and Bootloading we have use the In built USB controller of the same.

Below are the issue/s regarding the compatibility of the Drivers with Windows 10 / 8 / 8.1.

1) TIVA ware USB serial Port is not being assigned by the CPU with Win 8 or higher.

Our input for the above issues.

1) We used drivers as same as in Win 7 which is compatible with controller . and it is working OK with windows 7

Expectation from your side:

1) As per in your reference document named: DK-TM4C123G Firmware Development Package attached in mail, your USB Serial Drivers is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. We want the end solution for the compatibility issues in Win. 8 and higher whether by any patches or full proven drivers.

The updated drivers are in the following post

e2e.ti.com/.../463167

Search for "windows_drivers.zip" when the post opens and download the same.

In the schematic I see some issues

1. VDDC cap is insufficient. Please refer to the system design guidelines for TM4C129x.
2. XOSC0 must be connected to GND if not used.

further to our discussion for the TM4C1290 USB driver, we have found that on 32bit windows 7 machine it works fine but on 64bit machin with windows , it is not working.

We are using the TIVA based Controller TM4C1290NCPDT, with USB Serial Device Configuration our main aim for doing such is to communicate with the PC based Software, Now as such by doing this, Controller USB driver is being installed successfully and Port with COM Number is also being assigned now,

But communication is not being started in Some PC it will work as such in my PC it will work smoothly but in my colleague it will not work as such we found the Port is not being open successfully by that communication software and we monitor the action in background around the port is like below.

Attached is the screen shot of error.

COM was opened and Purge the serial port is being happening whats exactly it mean?

The drivers published on the web are for all Windows systems. I use them on a Win-7 PC on my side (3 of them) and have not seen an issue like this

does your machine have 64-bit OS?

Also We have diagnose the issue from driver side and look around for the similar issue from the TI forum .

we come across some conclusion from the same. can you please suggest that this solution is reliable from TI side.

Yes it is a 64-bit OS on my machine. If the solution is marked "verified" it means that the issue was resolved.
