Sir,

I made the CAN node using TMS570LS0432 and with same schematic given in the LaunchPad TMS570LS04x but without XDS100v2 Circuit given in sheet 3 & 4. because I bought the XDS100v2 JTAG board separately to program the CAN node.

Now , I want to program those nodes. It is requred to separate power Supply to CAN node???? Because Emulator have separate power Supply to work.

And another problem is the resistance which is not populated on the Launchpad.Is it required to populate those resistance on the CAN node which I made.

If yes they please tell me the values of those resistances here it is R53,R54,R55,R5.

It is not required to add those resistors as the JTAG input pins have internal pull resistors. I don't understand your question about a separate power supply for the CAN node. Are you talking about a separate supplies for the TMS570LS0432 and the CAN transceiver? Your board should have its own power supply and the XDS100V2 is supplied by the USB port.

Sir,

At the time of debug the program to the CAN node. Is it necessary to provide the supply CAN node separately because JTAG emulator having 3.3V supply.

The XDS100V2 will not supply the power to your board. You must power it separately.

Just to clarify.

- The launchpads that have the integrated XDS100v2 or XD110 can be powered through the USB port that is used for the XDS and for the UART.

- What Bob mentions is correct if you design a custom board without the emulator and you connect the emulator through a JTAG header like you have done.

Sir,

I have JTAG XDS100V2 emulator which i bought , Its JTAG 4th pin giving the 3.3V And 5th Pin giving the GND signal. but as per standard JTAG connector 4th pin has the GND And 5th Pin has the 3.3V, actually i used the same connection as per standard JTAG then how can I connnect it with JTAG XDS100V2 emulator.

How can i rectify the problem.

Is this issue w. jtag a duplicate of e2e.ti.com/.../521598 ?
If so, is there anything open in this thread? If not we should probably close this thread.
