I want to unlock the TMS570LS04 via AJSM with Code Composer Studio.

So my question is can I use Code Composer Studio to unlock the TMS570LS04 via AJSM?

If not what tool can I use to do this?

There is currently work being done to add this feature to CCS. The person who can update us on the status is out today. Sorry, but it might take until tomorrow to get the status on this project.

Yes, we have support for Hercules AJSM unlock in CCS 6.1 with TI Emulators versions 6.0.394.0 and greater.

I've updated the link above for SPNA232, this is a draft with TBD sections for HALCoGen and CCS GUI.

I plan to have an official release SPNA232A posted next week which will include the CCS GUI, the HALCoGen section will come later this year.

I have installed CCS 6.1.3 and did all updates, but my TI Emulator is still at version 6.0.228.0 instead of the required 6.0.394.0.

The JTAG probe used is Blackhawk USB100V2.

Where can I find the TI Emulator version 6.0.394.0?

Jeroen,
6.0.394.0 is the next version to be released and typically this only takes a few weeks. This update will add support for the GUI however command line support was added in TI Emulator 6.0.83.0 so you should be able to use that till the update is released.

Hi,

We are looking to use the AJSM to lock our units also.

We are using Segger units and scripting so need to write lock in our bootrom utilities and unlock code via JTAG scripting.

Can we be given access to SPNA232 please.

Also this is our first go at JTAG scripting. We are accessing registers in the ICEPICK OK; but we now want to access some known
registers in the AJSM. Is it documented anywhere what registers are present and there default values. We assume there is
some kind of ID register we can read?

We would be grateful for any hints.

How do I get access to the app note or updated release to use Hercules AJSM unlock in CCS ? I have searched through this forum and joined my IT. Do I need to get access to other areas, if so could you tell me how to apply for this.
