Which programmer to use in the TM4C123GH6PMI device?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C123GH6PM, ENERGIA

I'm starting to work with TM4C123GH6PMI device and do not know the programmer model / debugger that I can use.

I need the model and the wiring diagram.

Thank you
Eduardo

  • Eduardo,

Are you using a TM4C123 launchpad development kit? If so, it has a built in debugger that can be used with several different IDEs/Tools. Would suggest you have a look at the user guides, TM4C123GH6PM Datasheet, The Launchpad Userguide if using a launchpad, etc.

A great place to start is at this link: www.ti.com/.../overview.page which is the "home" page on TI.com for TM4C products and supporting tools, kits, online training, etc.

Once you begin using the device/launchpad, we are here to help with the device, launchpad HW and TivaWare. If there are issues with the IDEs, it is always best to first start withe the IDE forum. If you are using Energia, it is not recommended to post energia specific questions to this forum but to use the Energia forum. Also, when posting please make it a point to include details of the which device/board. which SW versions, and add on booster packs or custom peripherals you are using. In addition, any specific information including you code is always helpful.

Generally, understand that we are seeing your problem through your keyboard so include as much information as you can so we can see more clearly.
  • @Chuck,

Believe yours here to be a very good post - Bravo! (we especially like, "Seeing poster's problem thru his keyboard!") Posters rarely "think" of their helpers - and ask if, "They've provided adequate/proper info?" Such would be immensely helpful...

There is one (ONGOING) squawk, though. How are we "helpers" and others to know of the "overview page" you've been good enough to link? How can such a VITAL RESOURCE be (SO) hidden? Should it not rise to, "Top of Page (i.e. w/in red bar) Status" - along with the uber vital: Blogs, Groups, Videos?

This post will quickly rotate away - and Chuck's link will be (forever) lost and unnoted. How can that make (any) sense?
