Hi,

I have to work on CAN FD and I want to generate CAN FD signals using Hercules RM46 microcontroller and then send that to CAN transceiver and analyse tx and rx singals. I am using Halcogen with CCS software. Halcogen is not allowing me to increase the baud rate above 1000kbit/s.

What are the options available to me ? Can you please brief idea about all the options available?

The DCAN section of the RM46L852 datasheet says:

• Bit rates up to 1 MBit/s

i.e. 1000kbit/s is the maximum baud rate for the RM46L852 device used on the RM46 launchpad.

The DCAN module in the RM46L852 device supports CAN protocol version 2.0 part A, B for which the maximum baud rate 1 Mbit/sec.

The CAN FD protocol increases the maximum baud rate (~ 3.7 Mbits/sec according to CAN and CAN-FD a brief tutorial) , but not sure if any Hercules devices support CAN FD.

Maybe you can use the NHET Assembler tool to simulate the DCAN speed
