XDS100v2 error -183 connecting to RM48

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSRM48HDK, UNIFLASH

Hello,

Connecting to TMDSRM48HDK works just great through built in XDS100v2 emulator, whether using CCS 6.1.2.00015 or UniFlash 3.4.1.00012. However, using an external XDS100v2 (TMDSEMU100V2U-14T) provides me the following error:

Same problem with CCS, except the emulation package is 6.0.83.1.

I have used the following pinout:

HDK-J4 ----- XDS100v2

1 ----- 5

2 ----- NC

3 ----- 2

4 ----- 8, 10, 12

5 ----- 3

6 ----- NC

7 ----- 1

8 ----- 8, 10, 12

9 ----- 11

10 ----- 8, 10, 12

11 ----- 9

12 ----- 8, 10, 12

13 ----- 7

14 ----- 8, 10, 12

15 ----- NC

16 ----- 8, 10, 12

17 ----- NC

18 ----- 8, 10, 12

19 ----- NC

20 ----- 8, 10, 12

Because the signal nSRST is not present on the 14 pin, I have added a wire from the test pad T_SRST_N to J14-15. Still doesn't work.

With the utility xds100serial, every parameters are the same between the built-in or external XDS100v2, except the serial numbers: built-in: TIMCUHDK, external:SD05YVRO.

I really need help to resolve this issue, since in production, there will be obviously no built-in XDS100v2 on our boards, and the processors must be programmed with an external emulator.

Thanks,

Hugues
