Connecting to the RM57 Launchpad Board

I am working with a company that wants to use this board in a demonstration.  To be able to use all of the pins that we are needing to use I need to connect to the proto board connections.  I am wondering if there is a recommended method for use in a rough environment. The demo hardware will be towed along a gravel road.  Obviously the easiest way to connect to the board is to solder to the open hole and then put connectors on the wires.  Any other suggestions?

  • Hi Norma,

Super. We'll if you look at www.ti.com/.../tidm-hahscpto we built a board that connected to all of the HET pins which meant 180 of the 0.1" pitch pins/receptacles. I took some close-up pics for the writeup.

I have a hard time prying the two boards apart when they are mated this way so I wouldn't be worried about gravel.
And if you use the mounting holes to bolt the boards together on top of the force per pin it should be really solid.
