MIBSPI5 MibSPISOMI3 and MibSPISIMO3

We are using the TMS570LC4357BZWT and would like to use MibSPISOMI3 and MibSPISIMO3 as SPI functions. It appears parallel mode is required for this capability. Are code examples available for this function?

MibSPI5SOMI3 and SIMO3 are only used in parallel mode. is this what you want to do? Here is the description of parallel mode from SPNU563.

The description is generic. On this device you only have 4 SOMI and SIMO pins so the by 8 option does not exist.

I did not see any parallel mode examples, perhaps someone else knows of one. Using 4-bit parallel mode is similar to a standard SPI transmission except that the data is transmitted one nibble at a time. Of course you need hardware that comprehends this parallel transmission mode.

Are MibSPI5SOMI3 and MibSPI5SIMO only used in parallel mode for the TMS570LC4357?

They can be used as GPIO or in parallel mode. There is no way to make them the SOMI, SIMO pins in serial mode.
