8MB SPI flash suport on TM4C1231

Dear Experts

My customer used to use Micron 4MB SPI flash with SC type on TM4C1231.
It works well.
But Micron 8MB SPI flash is SE type.
Can they use SE type SPI flash on TM4C1231?
Or do you have a support list of which 8MB SPI flash is supported on TM4C1231?

What does SC or SE stand for? Could you provide the part numbers that the customer was using and what they want to use?

SC and SE are just different chip package. Do you have a flash part list which TI verified with TM4C?

SE stands for Sector Erase which is often used on 8MB flash or higher.

Hello Jefferey,

Yes, they can use the Serial Flash from Micron as it seems to have the same structure as other serial flashes. However do note that we do not have a driver for this particular serial flash. The only one that you will see drivers for are the Macronix Serial Flash which has been there on the DK-TM4C129x and one of the TI Designs www.ti.com/.../TIDM-TM4C129SDRAMNVM
