Hi!

I have this dialogue box always showing up when I try to download the code in my EK-TM4C Devellopment board

“Could not initialize target device! Please power cycle the board and try again.”

“Error: Flash download failed – Target DLL has been cancelled.”

It start to drive me crazy, It was working perfectly find until yesterday when this started to happen.

I thought it was really related to the code because i try with another dev. board, but it still occured.

Now even when I try to load an exemple from the internet, it still happen. Does it mean my board is broken??

I try to use LM flash programmer but it doesn't work for my problem.

I really don't know what to do,

Hi Scuud,

Please try "unlock" the debug port using LMFlash Programmer. The Unlock will erease your flash, please write down the MAC address and re-program it after you complete the Unlock.

Where do I re-program the MAC adress? i didn't write down the original MAC adress, is it a problem?

Hello Scuud,

The MAC address is on the bottom of the board as a sticker. Programming the MAC address back requires the LMFlashProgrammer's, Other utilities Tab. Change "User Register Programming" to MAC address mode, then write the MAC address as XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX where the X's are the value on the sticker, select the check box for Commit MAC address and then finally press the button Program MAC Address.

Hi Amit,

I am also facing the same issue. On the sticker, the MAC address is written in 172323698. How to intepret it in hex values.

Hello Natesh,

The MAC address is in hex format and not decimal format. Can you take an image of both sides of the board and attach it to the post?
