Timer2A as a one-shot and use the CCP as a logic output pulse

The control for output toggle would be required to do in the example

Can you provide a link to a web page, I'm at TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.0.12573.
Also, I know how to configure the timer for a one-shot, generate and interrupt, and control gpio lines within the ISR. I was wondering if I could have the TIMER control the pin directly (i.e. without using an ISR).

The path is w.r.t to the TivaWare installation on your PC.

To control the output you would need to configure the GPIO as Timer CCP and set the appropriate setting in the Timer Register TxMR bits for TCACT.

MAP_GPIOPinTypeTimer(PORT_BASE, PIN) ???

GPIOPinConfigure(XX) where XX comes from the driverlib/pin_map.h file followed by
MAP_GPIOPinTypeTimer(PORT_BASE, PIN)
