Can't Initialize Target CPU: The driver property "Endianness" was not defined

  If you go to the project property as shown below, what do you see? In the device endianness can you select be32 and try again?

I can confirm the endianness is be32. I also tried all the other options however whatever I choose I get the same fault when I try to Run-> Debug.

  Let's do this manually. First go to your project explorer and right click on your project and select 'Clean Project' followed by 'Build Project'. If you do this, do you see have the same problem?

I did as you said 'Clean Project' -> 'Build Project' -> 'Debug'. Same issue persists. I don't know if there is an issue with the HALCogen project that I created for the header and source files.

 Is this a problem you are having right out of the box for the HDK or it was working before with other projects? 

I'm attaching a simple project for LC4357 for you to try out. This project will blink some LEDs on the HDK board.  You can first load the .out file into the MCU and test the HDK. Afterward, you can rebuild the project and see if you still have the build problem.

This is the first time i have worked with the HDK project and also the first time this board has been used. I tried loading the file you provided. Now I get a different problem.

File connections/SD510USB_Connection.xml does not exist. Was included by file C:/..TMS570LC43xx.ccxml.

Maybe we are getting closer to the problem?

I was using a different emualtor than what is on the HDK. You can change to your target configuration and try again. But the first thing is to see if you can build my project and will you still see the endianism issue?

I can build your project. and my project successfully. Only when I try to Run -> 'Debug' my project do I get the endianism issue.

Hi Robert,
Good, we are making some progress. Can you try manually to load the program into the MCU instead of Run->Debug.

1. Go to your target configuration for the device and right click and select 'Launch Selected Configuration'. Does it succeed in this step? Note you can go to View->Target Configurations to bring up the available target configurations.
2. If step 1 is successful then in CCS Debug window select the menu Run->Connect Target.
3. If step 2 is successful then select Run->Load Program. Provide the program file which is the .out file you have just compiled.

If step 3 is successful then the program image will be flashed into the flash memory and you will be able to run the code and see the LEDs blinking using my project.

Let me know which one of the above three steps fails then we can go from there on what to do next.

I think the problem is in step 1.

My target configuration is setup as follows:
1. Connection: UARTConnection (Maybe this is the source of the problem)
2. Board or Device: TMS570LC43xx

I right clicked and selected 'Launch Selected Configuration' and I get the error: "Can't Initialize Target CPU: The driver property "Endianness" was not defined."
