TIVA C Series 1294 cortex M4F - Connection with Ethernet

Hey folks,

I am new to this forum and also new to TIVA C Series 1294 micro-controller Launchpad. I want to connect it through the ethernet port and see the basic things on ti.exosite.com (qs-application code for Ethernet is by default present). When i connect my launchpad, it is showing ACTIVE  but status is OFFLINE and showing a error "  This device has not yet been activated or does not exist. Please activate your device or confirm the device RID and try again".".

The reason may be because for accessing the internet, there is a captive portal where i need to fill my details.  Is this reason correct and if yes, then how to solve this issue??

Thank you in advance.

  • Hello Pankaj,

Did you open an account with Exosite and register the LaunchPad on the exosite portal? If not, then please refer the following guide www.ti.com/.../spmz858

If there is a captive portal in between, then the board cannot get internet connection. Depending on the security, it might not be easy to register this board on the network.

If a proxy server is in between, then you can use the command "setproxy", on the UART console, when the "qs_iot" application is running on the LaunchPad. Type the command for help.

    Thanks,
    Sai
