TMS470R1B1M tap interrupt sample code

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS470R1B1M, HALCOGEN, LAUNCHXL2-RM46, LAUNCHXL-RM42

Hi,

Do you know any smaple code on how to use tap interrupt on TMS470R1B1M?

Thanks, Jian

  • Hi Jian,

Not really. The TMS470R1B1M has been not recommended for new designs now for more than five years.

You should really consider one of the Hercules family as a replacement. The Hercules products are several generations newer than the TMS470R1B1M and have much better software support. For example there is a GUI code generation tool called HalCoGen that is full of examples for yoiu to get quickly started with. And we have low cost Launchpads ($20-$30) for Hercules.

Look at LAUNCHXL-RM42, LAUNCHXL2-RM46, and LAUNCHXL2-RM57 for example of these kits.

The Cortex R is also a nice migration from ARM7TDMI - it has a compatible programmers model. If you go to a Cortex M you kind of need to start from scratch.

Also the peripherals on these Hercules are just newer versions of what is available on the TMS470R1B1M so if you have learned anything on the R1B1M already that will carry over to the Hercules pretty well. But you'll like the support a lot better :)
