nRST is can be monitored from external ?

I am reading "Safety Manual for TMS570LS31x and TMS570LS21 x Hercules ARMR-Based Safety Critical Microcontrollers (Literature Number: SPNU511D)".

It has been described as "An external monitor can be utilized to detect expected or unexpected changes to the state of the internal warm reset control signal." is in Chapter "7.31 External Monitoring of Warm Reset (nRST)".

I understand nRST is bidirectional reset signal.

I want to know nRST state can monitoring from external.

And,I want to know how the monitoring,too.

Hi Arriy,
You will need some external circuitry in your external ASIC to monitor the nRST. Whenever there is an internal reset event the nRST will be low. An active nPORRST will also drive the nRST low.

Yes, you will need some external circuitry such as ASIC to monitor the nRST.
