Hello,

We are looking at the RM42x/RM41x MCU.

Which OS options are compatible with the RM42x/RM41x MCU.

According to the following link:

The following OS options are compatible with the Hercules MCU: SAFERTOS, FreeRTOS, uC/OS-II, SCIOPTA, SMXRTOS, and CoDeSys.

However, when I read the safety manual, it only shows SAFERTOS, uC/OS-II, and SCIPOPTA.

Are FreeRTOS, SMXRTOS, and CoDeSys also compatible with the RM42x/RM41x MCU?

    Hi Neil,

     Yes, FreeRTOS is supported. If you use HalCoGen you can select the FreeRTOS version which will include all the drivers.

    The SMXRTOS is supported according to the SMX website. 

    I'm not too sure about CoDeSys. Perhaps you can contact them directly to make sure if the RM42x is supported.
