EK-TM4C1294XL Booster Headers

Might you point me to the document your are referencing from?

Both the Samtec ssq_th.pdf and ssw-1xx-xx-xxx-x-xx-xxx-xx-mkt.pdf documents reference the -F option as to plating specifications. The ssq document list both the SSW and SSQ. The SSW (solder tail) is specified at 0.41 x 0.79 while the SSQ (square tail) is 0.64 SQ. Again the -F option is in reference to plating.

Can you please specify which table entry in the Samtec datasheet are you referring to as 0.41 x 0.79 mm?

In the ssq_th.pdf under Lead Style you can note the SSW and SSQ sizes. The next column is Plating Options where -F is mentioned. The SSW document is similar.

OK, I see it now. That is OK as there is some clearance allowed for on the boosterpack as well. The pins flex and bend slightly to allow for the connection to be made.

So now that we are on the same page...

The SSW can be used on a booster card to stack on top of an EK but  cannot be used to stack multiple boosters. The SSQ model would have to be chosen. I will also confirm with Samtec but it appears the SSWs are not stackable making any TI document reference to such misleading. As well, the SSW is not the part on the EK.

In the TI document (slaa542) "Build Your Own LaunchPad" it states on page 2

Stackable Headers – Headers that enable multiple plug-in modules or BoosterPacks to stack on top of
each other. If you are interested in making your BoosterPack stackable, the part number below can be
used.
Part Number: Samtec SSW-110-23-S-D

SSWs do not have a square tail. They are not stackable headers. (I know. I bought two only to discover they don't) This is not the part on the EK. Yes it can be used for a single BoosterPack but not for multiple BoosterPack stacking.

Suspected but not confirmed...the EK part is SSHQ-110-D-08-F-LF or an SSQ. Both are square tailed.
