HALCoGen naming inconsistency

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LC4357, HALCOGEN

Hi,
The naming conventions  of TMS570LC4357 SCIx port VIM channels are inconsistent.

I mean, in HALCogen 04.04.00 -> VIM Channel xx-xx

Lin1 High - Channel 13
Lin1 Low - Channel 27
Lin2 High - Channel 115
Lin2 Low - Channel 118

SCI3 Level 0 - Channel 64
SCI3 Level 1 - Channel 74
SCI4 High - Channel 116
SCI4 Low - Channel 119

question: Level 0 means: high or low in the case of SCI3?

Regards, Szilárd

  • Level 0 is the high priority and level 1 is the low priority. Thank you for pointing out this inconsistency. I will pass this comment on to the HALCoGen team.
  • Thanks Bob!
    Regards, Szilárd
  • Hi Szilárd,

This is fixed, consistency is maintained from version 4.06.00 which is due later today or early tomorrow based on the server sync.
  • Thank you Prathap!
I had an other question, maybe you could help with that.
I asked Bob, about HALCoGen bugtracking system. I'd like to know if it's public, or it can be made public?
I've posted lot of issues, but I got no feedback in the most of the time.

    Regards, Szilárd
  • Hello Szilárd,

    Sorry for the delay.

Currently the bug tracking system is not open to public. The system is been in deployment for many years and it requires an NDA to be signed to open up for TI's customers which typically possible for companies, not individuals. There are plans to move to different tool ( something like Jira) where we have given IT team this requirement, but I don't know the date yet.

Typically the TI moderator of the forum raises the Ticket and informs the Ticket number in the post. This is to make sure the issues are tracked.

Please do post the links of the queries that you would like to to be tracked as issues in this or a new post, I can raise it for you if valid.

  • Hi Prathap,

Thank you for your answer and don't worry about the delay. For the matter Jira looks good.

I'm going to collect the issues into a new post but I'm busy now.

    Best Regards, Szilárd
