I'm trying to follow the tutorial that is included with my TIVA. It uses exosite.com and says when I plug in an Ethernet cord it should activate indicator leds. It doesn't light up anything. Please help.

Does it get an IP address? If not can you confirm that the MAC address is correctly programmed by connecting the LMFlashProgrammer application and read the User Registers.

I actually figured it out. So the MAC address is the same as the one printed on the board.

I downloaded TeraTerm but it won't let me type anything. I connected to COM4 which is the port for my TIVA, but when I try and type nothing happens.

If you press the reset on the board does the Tera Term show anything? If not, then check if the baud rate setting, etc are correct AND of course check that you have flashed the binary for the qs_iot.

So I flashed qs_iot, I didn't know I had to do that. Now when I go to ti.exosite.com the board disappeared and when I try and add the device it just loads forever and won't add it.

Ok so I figured out that problem too. The leds are blinking which means Ethernet activity. When I go to the Exosite website it still says my board is offline. They said it may have something to do with my networks firewall. I am a college student so I have no control over that. However, I added the MAC address of the board to my allowed devices and it has been assigned an IP address.

Check with your college network administrator if there is a proxy server to connect to the internet.

Alright so I set the Baud correct and now it is displaying words. When it tries to connect it says "No CIK could be obtained" and when I type activate it says "Sync Failed"

It means that the CIK has not been reactivated on the Exosite portal. Please activate the board at Exosite web portal.

How do I activate it? I found where I can reenable it which gives me a new CIK, but nowhere where I can activate it. On the Dashboard screen it says "This device has not yet been activated or does not exist. Please activate your device or confirm the device RID and try again."

If a new CIK is been generated then "activate" command in the TeraTerm should work.

Can you type "stats" and send the result of the same as a snapshot?

It seems that the IP address has not been acquired. The link status shows "Offline". It seems IP address is not getting acquired.

My school has a portal to add MAC addresses to allow them to connect to the internet. On that portal I added the MAC address of my TIVA and it assigned a IP address. So how would I get it to connect. Every device I've had put on this website has automatically connected so what should I do to connect it?

I believe the portal is the proxy server and that is what is required to be entered in the command line option "setproxy". The syntax is setproxy SERVERNAME PORT

Then it should have acquired the IP address and connected to the Exosite Server. I am not sure what could be the issue here.
