I use TMS570LS3137-EP of the built-in Cortex-R4F.
Please tell me the difference in the Undefined instruction exception and Abort (prefetch) exception.

I read the manual. Both think as in the case that can not decode the instructions.

An undefined instruction is when the CPU fetches an instruction and decodes it, but finds that it is not a valid op-code. A pre-fetch abort is when the CPU fetches an instruction and the memory system responds that the address used does not support instruction execution. (It does not matter if the data is a valid op-code or not.)

I want to generate a pre-fetch abort order to verify the software.
Where is the area that prefetch abort occurs?
Also, I want to know the reference page of the manual.

You can branch to an area of memory that you have marked as execute never in the MPU, and you will get a prefetch abort.
