LAUNCHXL-TMS57004 User Manual

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-TMS57004, HALCOGEN, TMS570LS3137

Hello,

I'm looking for LAUNCHXL-TMS57004 User Manual, with the board schematics on the product page, but I could not find it. I can only find Quick Start Guide.

Can someone send me a link to the user manual for this launch pad?

Thanks,

Alex

  • Alan,

There isn't a user manual for the board, there isn't much on it aside from the MCU and the built in debugger.

There's a very large user manual for the MCU ;) and for this reason there is also the HalCoGen tool to help you get started quickly.

    I'd recommend starting with HalCoGen.

  • Hi Alan,

I'm very much familiar with the Hercules family, even from before it was assigned that name. I'm working with TMS570LS3137 for the past 5 years. We want to purchase this specific launch pad to implement a proof of concept for a new project and we will need the definition of all the headers and test points that we can use on this board. Usually TI provides User Manual for the launch pads, so they can be used exactly for that purpose. How do I get information for all the connections on the board?

  • Hi Alex,  (sorry I got your name wrong, my eyes are going).

Pretty much every pin on TMS570LS04 MCU is available either on the booster pack headers or the 'extra' header J10.

The WIki page is a replacement of sorts for a manual,

    so please look there too.

The schematic is on that page but you said you already have it.  Still I would recommend the schematic.

There is also a PDF that lists the pins available on just the booster pack headers:  Hercules LaunchPad 40 Pin BoosterPack Header Pin-out

  • Thanks Alan, I was actually looking for schematic and assumed it will be in the board's User Manual, which I couldn't find. Now I found the schematics on the Wiki.
