Dear community,

i have an TMS processor in a ZWT - Package, which should drive interrupts at an speed of 1µS or faster. Since 1µS is the fastest possible interrupt speed (was stated somewhere here in the forum) it tried that. Configured Halcogen to interrupt every 0.001ms on compare 0 driven by standard counter 0. I then tried my code, but the mc get's somewhere stuck and then only runs the counter increment and nothing other.

Is there any advice or tip for running such fast interrupt speed ?

Hi Moritz,

This doesn't seem like a good idea for a real application; as you will have less than 200 clock cycles between interrupts so the amount of work you will actually be able to do is minimal.

What are you actually trying to accomplish? For events at this rate of 1us we would normally look to hardware, with the programmable HET being one possibility.

Thank you Antony for your answer, as you said, the work is minimal and therefor we decided to push our limits a bit more therefor no problems appear now :)
