40 pin boosterpack connector availability

I bought the 2x10 pin connector from the "LaunchPad Component Store" 1 month ago i haven't receive it yet, wrote an email asking what happened and i got no answer, wrote to another address from "Major League Electronics"(the business behind Lanchpad component store" and still no answer, if i go in my account it says paiyment accepted and state "new" whatever that means...

This is looking like a scam, and it's a shame that the store it's directly referenced from de Texas Instruments launchpad site. On a related matter, i could not get the connector from any other place, several popular electronics parts stores list them as "no stock" with no estimated date to have them.

I don't know what to do since i need them ASAP to complete my thesis, any ideas are welcomed.

the part number that appear in the launchpad store is CRD-081413-A-G, details: 2x10 female socket, 2.54mm pitch, Through hole straight type, 10u Gold Plated

I ordered 10 units of those on oct, 19

Hello Javier,

I understand the frustration you are facing. But first of all let me clarify that external components suggested are (a) Not from TM4C (b) not under control of Texas Instruments and (c) May be EOL-ed by the original manufacturer.

From your project completion perspective, you can get samples from Samtec parts (no cost to you).

I completely understand that, its just that it is referenced directly in the launchap page as a source for boosterpack connectors, i though it would be safe to buy from them given that, but i understand that it is not TI responsability. I would suggest that you take more care for the sites you referenced in your main webpage.
Thank you very much for your recomendation, i haven't noticed that samtec provided free samples, that will hopefully solve my problem.

Hello Javier,

Please create a user login with Samtec. That may allow you to order free samples. Worst case, use digikey (after verifying that there is stock available for the part number)

Already did that, waiting for the confirmation from samtec. Actually digikey was one of the stores i already looked into, there is no stock of the samtec Part: SSW-110-23-S-D in their web page:

note that the "-23" in the part number is necessary because it has the 100 mm male part of the connector, as to comply with the boosterpack standar, maybe a "-03" could work as is the "standar insertion force" of the same connector, but anything else won't. And in the link i posted before i could not see any that meet these criteria.
