Hello Team,

I have a customer with the following questions in regards to MibSPI/DMA on the TMS570LS3137 below;

Right now the SPI is sending from buffer 1 of (0 ~ 127 buffers). It should have TX_DMA_REQ pulse to DMA side as configured.

In emulator, how can I debug with this TX_DMA_REQ?

Is this line can be shown in CCS debug window?

Is this measurable by scope?

Or is this line inside the chip and not measurable?

Hi Edward,
The TX_DMA_REQ is an internal signal. It is not visible to the CCS debugger. You can't display it. When it is asserted it is captured in the DMA module's PEND register. So you can indirectly find out if it is asserted or not by reading the PEND register.

In HalCoGen, there is a MibSPI+DMA example. Go to HalCoGen->Help->Help Topics->examples->example_mibspiDma.c.
