Reconfiguration of PLL in TMS570LS0714

I think when you change from 100MHz in bootloader to 80MHz in application it might have caused a PLL slip due to the PLL multiplier change.

There are two methods I can think of.

First, before you jump to the application you can first switch the clock source to OSC (by using the GHVSRC register in the SYS module) and then disable the PLL (by using the CSDIS register).

Second method is to perform a software system reset before you jump to the application. You can do this by writing to the SYSECR register in the SYS module. After you generate a software reset the SWRST flag will be set in the SYSESR register.

Thanks for prompt response. The information is very helpful. I would like to know one more thing. I prefer to not to change the bootloader and implement the same in application. Is it possible to do the same in application?
