Hi all,

I'm new to TI microcontrollers and and was considering using the HET module in a TSM470 to solve a problem. I need to gereate two independant low frequency (circa 1 to 10kHz) PWM signals with a 14bit resolution on the duty cycle.

Can the HET module achieve this and is there a coding example to demonstate?

Yes, the HET can do this. There are examples. Which TMS470 device are you considering?

I want to use a SM470R1B1M-HT but the cost is on another planet ( treble digits for 10kpcs)!
I'm will start with a TMS470R1B1MPGEA before migrating on hopefully by the time I get to volume TI will have rethought their pricing structure

Have you considered looking at the newer TMS570 devices? Selection Guide. Even the lowest end device of that family, TMS570LS0232, has a NHET and is automotive temperature grade. The SM470 is a high reliability part and will be expensive.
