TM4C1294 Interoperability Tests

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C1294XL

Hi Team,

Good morning, a customer in my region has a question on passing interoperability and IEEE specs:

We have been working with the University of New Hampshire’s Interoperability Lab (IOL) on passing their interoperability and IEEE specifications.  We currently are stuck trying to pass two tests.  We are failing Clause 28, test 28.4.4.d and Clause 40, test 40.1.1.a.  We sent IOL a new EK-TM4C1294XL running the Tiva Ware lwip example code.

Below is the latest e-mail we received from IOL with screen shots of the failure with the EK-TM4C1294XL

For the Auto-Crossover fail, the picture shows where you are writing over our test tool. The vertical yellow bars are FLPs on pair 1,2 and the vertical white bars are FLPs on pair 3,6. On pair 1,2 our test tool is sending FLPs alternating in advertisements between 01E0 and 01E1, your device should be transmitting on pair 3,6 advertising 01E1. As you can see in the middle of the picture, your device is transmitting on pair 1,2 instead of pair 3,6 which is causing the FLPs on pair 1,2 to be decoded incorrectly.

This one is a zoomed out version of the picture above. you can see that your device transmitted on the wrong channel on 2 separate occasions.

For the State Machine fail, in this case our test tool is on pair 3,6 where we are sending NLPs, 100BASE-TX signaling then 10BASE-T frames (the green vertical bars that our test tool can't interpret are the frames). You can see that your device doesn't link off of the initial NLPs (correctly), doesn't link off of the 100BASE-TX signaling (incorrectly), then establishes a link off of the 10BASE-T frames (also incorrectly).

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
