Enable Watchdog in ResetISR [TM4C1294NCPDT]

Hi Champs,

My customer found TM4C1294 would be hang sparsely when using SysCtlReset() to reset the device. Even after a whole day testing, it still cannot be re-produced. Until now, we didn't know the exact root cause.So we are thinking a method to figure out, enabling watchdog after reset using SysCtlReset(). So is it possible to enable watchdog in ResetISR, and can you share the reference code or idea?

They are using TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.0.12573 and Keil 4.7. Thanks.

Hello Young,

Thanks for the information. There was an issue that was found in the device w.r.t reset. The same has been added to the errata and a software workaround is available in TivaWare 2.1.3.156. I would recommend checking the errata and updating the SW for the woraround.

Please note that the issue in the errata is SysCtl #22 and #23

Beyond that (promised) test - client should (now) really read/review the most recent errata.

The fact that they "missed" the errata listing of, "their exact issue" signals their errata review was too brief and/or non-existent! Neither good!

Or the errata changed after the board spin. Either way though you are correct, a review would be a good idea.
