TMS570LS1227-PGE vs TMS570LS3137-PGE

Hello,

I'm having query related to hw design and may sound weird :D. I am working on custom designed board having TMS570LS1227-PGE MCU. We are planning to change from TMS570LS1227-PGE --> TMS570LS3137-PGE keeping the same layout board.

I found the some diffrences between these 2's

When I searched in detail, I found that my QFP is not at all problem, both are having same pin layout. But 1227 is equipped with ePWM, CAP, Is that going to make difference in real? In my case, I'm just using N2HET[1] / [2].

Hello Suyog,

I have moved your inquiry to the Hercules uC Forum where it will receive the proper attention. Your new design does not require the ePWM functions, is that correct?

Hi Suyog,
These two devices are compatible to each other. Unless you plan to use the ePWM/eCAP/eQEQ then you will not have problem to port your program from 1227 to 3137.
