HALCOGEN: HALCoGen 4.06.00 Crashes From Clock Tree Selection on General Tab

Hi,

I have just installed HALCoGen 4.6.0 alongside previous 4.5.2 (which is still installed). I get a crash after creating a brand new project when selecting 'Clock Tree' from the General tab.

File > New > Project > TMS570LS1227PGE

Presented with General Tab, select 'Clock Tree'', get pop-up box stating:

HAL Code Generator has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I have tried to attach my project files that were created (.dil and .hcg) but this function doesn't appear to be working in my Chrome browser.

I am running Windows 7 service pack 1 on an Intel Core i7-3720QM CPU, 64-bit.

HALCoGen 4.5.2 works just fine.

Hi,
I've just noticed that both .dil and .hcg files are empty!

Hi Tony,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Unfortunately I cannot recreate it. I followed the steps you outlined above. I am running Windows 7 Professional, ServicePack1 Intel Core i7-4810MQ CPU, 64-bit. I will pass this on to our HALCoGen development team, but I would appreciate any additional information that would help us reproduce this issue.

Hi Bob,

There's nothing else to say really, it's as simple as install new HALCoGen update, create new project, select General Tab/Clock Tree.

Of course, if the team have specific things they would like me to provide I'd be more than happy to oblige.

Hello Tony,

A similar thing happened to me once, I found that it can be easily solved by doing the following steps:
1) Uninstall the HALCoGen 4.06.00
2) Restart your system
3) Reinstall the HALCoGen.

I was told that I had somehow corrupted my XML files and that is why the problem was occurring.

Do tell if this solves the problem.
