LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012: Chip Select -5 Configuration of SPI-3

Hi,

We are using Chip Select -5 of Normal SPI3 of TMS570LS1224PGE (Launch pad board) controller for SPI communication .To configure Chip select-5 of SPI-3 we have used following configuration in SPI Transmit Data Register 1 register :

CS_HOLD = 0;

WDEL    = 1;

DFSEL   =0;  Data word Format 0

CSNR = 0xDF; // 5 bit is low for CS-5

We have checked signal level using Oscilloscope for MOSI, CLK and CS-5 to ensure SPI data is proper. The Chip select-5 remains high always.

We tried with different Chip select configuration by changing CSNR value and measure signal level,

Observed that  CS-0, CS-1 and CS-3 are working fine i.e. goes low while transmitting data.

Query:

1. Please let us know either our configuration for CS-5 is correct or not ?
2. Please let us know if anything needs to be taken care for Chip Select-5 .
