CCS/TM4C123GH6PM: UART DMA Issue when using DMA for transmission only

I am using TM4C123 launchpad to configure things in a way I want. My plan is to use DMA only for UART transmission and use simple UART Interrupt handler for receiving incoming data. The reason is, I don't know the length of data and I want to process as it comes. I took the TIVAWARE working example of UDMA_DEMO. The demo uses DMA for both transmission and reception of data. It works as stated.

Below is my modified code to run UART TX DMA and use interrupt handler for receiving data. As you can see, InitUARTTransfer function starts transfer by configuring TX DMA with 256 bytes. Using TX only DMA, I only receive 30 bytes and they are garbled too. I tried different baud rates from 9600 to 115200. Burst mode gives me 30 bytes, single byte mode gives me 34 bytes. First filling of RX FIFO (16 bytes) always shows good data and then remaining 14 or 18 bytes comes from end of data. The debugger  photo at the end of the post shows the 30 bytes. The data I send is 64 bytes of "A" , 64 bytes of "B", 64 bytes of "C" and 64 bytes of "D". I never receive "B" or "C".

What am I missing here?

If you comment following line in UDMA_DEMO.c then TIVAWARE UDMA example will run as it is.
