Hello TI Team,

When I add some CAN features to my project it throws a compilation failure.

for HL_CAN.c file that was generated by Halcogen it throws an error #20 identifier "AAAU" is undefined. See attachred project file zip.

I have tried to debug this issue further. As soon as I select the CAN1 driver in Halcogen I get the above compilation failure.

Hi Robert,

My 'instinct' says that probably it was meant to be 0xAAAU but the '0x' was dropped during generation.

We'd need to check that 0xAAAU makes sense for the register but it's the closest to some legal code I think.

All HalCoGen appears to be doing is taking whatever is in the box on the GUI screen and concatenating it with 'U' when it outputs this value.

So if you want to enter a hexadecimal # for the ID you need to prefix it with 0x in the GUI. It's not totally consistent and arguably the user input on the GUI should be validated. So I will enter a ticket on the issue. But for now you should be able to just enter '0xAAA' instead of 'AAA' and move on.
