TMS570LS0714: Temperatur range

Hi,

for a new Project I would like to use the TMS570ls0714 again.

The problem is, that the minimum operating temperature of the TMS in the datasheet is -40°C. For the current Project the TMS570ls0714 has to work at -45°C (for a short time).

Is it possible to use the TMS570ls0714?

    TI cannot provide any guidance or recommendations that exceed the requirements as stated in the device datasheet.

    You may consider, however, to investigate other Hercules part numbers that are rated to -55C through our high reliability group. Specifically, the LS3137 is available with the extended temperature range. you will find, that most of your software is going to be compatible and/or require very little effort to port. The product page for this device is at: www.ti.com/.../tms570ls3137-ep

    The biggest issues that you may have with it is that it is only in a 337 BGA package and it may be too much for your application given its performance and memory size capability.
