Yes this could be one interpretation. You could also consider the redundant ADC cores using the same analog signal as an input. Note that some of the ADC pins automatically have redundant paths to ADC1 and again to ADC2 on the same pin. Since both paths operate on the same analog signal, it is considered information redundancy.
