EK-TM4C1294XL: Target VBUS

Hello Amit,

Rather than using the "always on" +5V on the X11-2 connector, I was hoping to use the controllable TARGET_VBUS to power my daughter card. Upon examining the schematics I discovered the trace to X11-60 is a 6 mil rendering it unusable without some kludging.

Might you tell me what the purpose of this line is?

X11 is the bread board connector so that the LaunchPad can be connected with a right angle connector to a bread board to allow interfacing the maximum number of signals from the Main MCU.

Hello Amit,

Let me rephrase...

Was TARGET_VBUS (X11-60, 6 mil trace) intended to provide power or simply to indicate power. Elsewhere the trace is 15 mil.

It is meant to provide power. However do note that LaunchPad are meant for evaluations only. So the rules can be relaxed.
