TM4C1294NCPDT: TM4C1294NCPDT

Part Number: TM4C1294NCPDT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hello,

We are designing prototypes using TM4C1294NCPDT bought from digikey.

While using the Ethernet interface, I came to know that the MAC address is not pre-programmed. I programmed the MAC address that came in with the TM4c Launchpad, using uniflash and xds 100v2 jtag debugger to make it work.

I have the following queries:

  1. Is there any specific reason why the chips bought from digikey had no MAC address programmed? I saw similar posts where other users also faced the same issues.
  2. How can I get chips pre programmed with MAC addresses?

Regards

SN

  • Hi SN,
The MAC address is pre-programmed from the pool of MAC Address allocated to TI in the EK and DK boards . For fresh parts, you will need to assign your MAC address because it must come from the pool of allocated MAC address to the organization/company.
