TM4C129ENCPDT: BOOT Configuration from GPIO

Part Number: TM4C129ENCPDT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C1294XL

Hi all

I want to configure a GPIO pin that when it is in high during power up than the CPU starts loading SW from UART0.

Afterwards I want to cancel the option of SW loading from that  GPIO  and return the GPIO to the normal operation mode.

Please specify the sequence to perform including register names and bit to modify.

  • Do you have a development board such as EK-TM4C1294XL? Have you downloaded Code Composer Studio and the TivaWare Library? Then see the document: C:\ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.4.178\docs\SW-TM4C-DRL-UG-2.1.4.178.pdf for a description of the driver functions. There are many examples  in this directory "C:\ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.4.178\examples\boards\ek-tm4c1294xl" that will help you to learn how to check the GPIO pin and configure the UART. Then also look at this document for information on the UART bootloader that resides in ROM and how to call it from your application.
