Is there any hope to expect a 100 pin version of a RM46x?

Are there plans of more powerful RM44x chips?

    Hello Neil,

    The RM44xx is the cut down version of the RM46xx and is a bridge between the lowest performance devices RM41x/RM42x and the higher RM46x devices. There are no plans for any additional intermediary devices between RM42x & RM44x or between RM44x & RM46x.

    Note that performance is limited not only be the internal silicon of the device but also by the packaging since smaller packaging affects heat dissipation resulting from the higher current draw associated with the higher operating frequency. i.e., even if the RM46x were packaged in a 100pin package it would be as limited in performance as the RM44x due to power/heat dissipation issues.
