Hi,

Is there a way to configure HALCoGen to use FreeRTOS V9.0.0 source? I would like to use the static memory allocation for tasks, which is a feature not provided by FreeRTOS V8..2.0 that is used in the HALCoGen generated projects for TMS570LS1224.

    As noted, HalCoGen has not presently integrated FreeRTOS V9.0.0. The upgrading to a different version is discussed in this post as well: e2e.ti.com/.../2115771

    As you will read, the poster was not successful in doing the upgrade or at least didn't indicate they had successfully completed it. I believe there are plans for our software team to integrate the newer version sometime in the future but the date has yet to be determined.

    So, there are two options, one is to stick with the current version of FreeRTOS supported by HalCoGen and wait for the new integration some time in the future. Or, you can set out on the task of doing the integration yourself. If you choose the latter, we can offer some limited support for our efforts or you can try the FreeRTOS support forum as well.     Note, I will also copy our HalCoGen SW lead on this thread in case he may have anything to add.
