RTOS/EK-TM4C123GXL: "no RTSC Configuration File open" when I open a .cfg file

I'm following Lab 4 of the TI-RTOS Workshop and just made my blinky project. On step 9 it says to open the .cfg file and some menus will pop up. I opened it and the menus did not pop up so I went to View>Other>RTSC>Available Products which brings up the 'Available Products' window. However, in that window I get the message:

"...This view is currently empty because there is no RTSC Configuration File open"

I have CCS 7.1.0.00016 installed as well as TI-RTOS for TivaC (IDE Client) 2.16.0.08 and TI-RTOS for TivaC (Target Content) 2.16.0.08 installed. I checked the variables and repositories and it looks good (I'm still relatively new to CCS so I could be wrong...)

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

It kinda looks like CCS isn't recognizing the file type:

Looks like it's a bug between the latest releases of CCS and TI-RTOS. I guess I'll have to do it the old fashioned way with code until there's another update.

Yes, can you try using XDCtools 3.32.00.06. It's available here:

You can change it in the project properties

I was hoping it would be that easy but sadly that is not the case. Could I instead redownload an older version of CCS and use that for now? Here is a screenshot of my program that I built with 3.32.0.06:

I tried installing V7.0 and I still could not get the TI-RTOS to work as expected. Should I try deleting the TI-RTOS files and reinstall?

we haven't yet properly replicated that problem, so we are just guessing what might be wrong. Before you go and reinstall TI-RTOS, please try something easier. Go to Debug directory of your project and delete configPkg directory that you will find in there. Let us know if there is any difference.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm going to keep developing my core program with v7.1.0.00016 and then try out your suggestion later this week.
